In 2019, EME Rail Solutions LLC conducted a 8 month study of rail crossings blockages in Northwest Indiana for the Northern Indiana Regional Planning Commission (NIRPC) Rail Crossing Task Force. During this study, EME Rail Solutions LLC was able identify the crossings and railroads with the most activations over 10 minutes, the cause of those activations and potential mitigation options. The information  contained in the  2019 Rail Crossing  report is for public use.  Considerable resources from EME Rail Solutions LLC were used in collecting  and analyzing the rail crossing data. Permission must be obtained from EME Rail Solutions LLC for private use of the methodology and terminology contained within this report.
